Coil calculator

When you enter the world of rebuildable vaping and decide to make your own atomiser coils, many questions arise. Which resistive wire should I use? Which diameter? How many spirals? These questions can seem confusing at first, but they're quickly answered when you look into the topic a bit more. Hot vapour, cold vapour, producing more flavour or more vapour, along with the vast choice of resistive wires and coil builds available today, allow you to tailor your vaping experience to suit your unique needs.

To make things simpler for you, Arômes et Liquides' team have created a resistance calculator that works out your coil's resistive value in ohms, depending on the type of wire you use (Kanthal, Nichrome or 316L Stainless Steel), your coil's diameter, and the number of spirals the latter has, all in a few clicks. This coil calculator will quickly tell you what resistance value you're trying to achieve, allowing you to experiment and discover your electronic cigarette's capabilities!

Choose your resistive wire
  • Kanthal
  • Nichrome
  • Stainless steel
Choose your coil's diameter
  • 1.50mm
  • 2.00mm
  • 2.50mm
  • 3.00mm
  • 3.50mm

Inox 316L 1.5mm

For a dual-coil build, you have to divide each coil's value by 2 to obtain the final build's resistive value. For example, 2 coils of 0.60 ohm each will have a combined value of 0.30 ohm.
