Several setting modes

Eleaf gives its iStick T80 a performing chipset giving access to different use modes:

• Vari-Wattage (VW): for a manual adjustment of the power, from 1 to 80W
• Bypass: find the sensations of a mechanical mod while benefiting the electronic safeties of the chipset

The Stick T80 mod offers a temperature control mode (TC) to only use if you install an atomizer (rebuildable) rather than the Melo 5 clearomizer.

The Melo 5 clearomizer

The fifth in the legendary Melo series, this clearomizer features a round 4ml tank surrounded by an openwork silicone ring.

Equipped with a 510 drip tip, the Melo 5 is just as suitable for lovers of tight vaping as it is for aficionados of more airy draws.

This versatility is made possible by its compatibility with EC-S and EC Head coils.

The EC coils

Your iStick T80 Melo 5 kit is included with two types of coils:

• 1 EC-S 0.6ohm coil (pre-installed): for use between 15 and 30W, for a tighter draw in indirect inhaling (MTL)
• 1 EC TC 0.5ohm coil: for use between 30 and 80W, for a cloudier vape in restrictive direct inhaling (RDL) or direct inhaling (DTL).

The Melo 5 clearomizer is also compatible with EC Head coils, giving you a value of 0.15ohm.

After two or three weeks, your coil will start to show signs of wear, such as a loss of taste or a slight burnt taste. Then it's time to change it for a new one.

To do this:

1. Detach the clearomizer from the mod
2. Unscrew the bottom part of the Melo 5
3. Remove the worn-out coil by unscrewing it
4. Soak a new coil in a few drops of e-liquid
5. Insert the new coil in its housing in place of the old one
6. Screw the lower part of the clearomizer back on
7. Fill the tank with e-liquid
8. Reconnect the clearomizer to the mod
9. Wait a few minutes before vaping, to allow the new coil to prime itself properly with e-liquid

Adjustable air intakes

Eleaf lets you adjust the airflow via a rotating ring beneath the tank.

Rotate the airflow ring to release more or less of the air intake ports, and easily alternate between a tight draw and an airier vape.

An easy and clean filling

The clearomizer of the iStick T80 Melo 5 kit has a clever top-filling system.

When the time comes to fill with e-liquid the 4ml of its tank, no need to take the clearomizer off the mod!

Get a thin tip for your bottle, then:

1. Lift and push the top cap to the back
2. Insert the thin tip of your bottle in the filling hole covered by a silicon strip
3. Pour your e-liquid up to three-quarters of the tank
4. Push the top cap to close it

Reminder: wait 5 to 10 minutes before vaping if you use a new coil.
